Software License Entitlements
A software license entitlement refers to an organization's right to use specific software it has licensed, subject to the terms of its end user license agreement (EULA). EULAs can be very complex agreements and vary by manufacturer and application title. For example, some entitlements allow downgrade rights to prior versions of software, while others do not. Some license entitlements do not allow for the installation of all the software included on the software CD provided. It is extremely important to understand the subtleties of your software entitlements when evaluating your license compliance status.
