History

Express Metrix grew out of a division of WRQ, Inc., a company with 20 years of experience developing enterprise software. In September 2000, a group of long-time WRQ managers purchased the award-winning product line from WRQ and formed Express Metrix. More than 950 organizations worldwide rely on Express Software Manager.

Express Metrix supports the anti-piracy and license compliance efforts of the Business Software Alliance (BSA), Software Information Industry Association (SIIA), Federation Against Software Theft (FAST), ECPweb, the International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers (IAITAM), and the International Business Software Managers Association (IBSMA).

Products

Express Software Manager integrates powerful hardware and software inventory capabilities with patented metering technology. The integrated components are easy-to-implement with powerful reports to manage license compliance, software migrations, and desktop security. Express Software Manager components include inventory, metering and control modules:

	Inventory collects, analyzes and reports on all installed hardware and software assets to give IT managers a clear perspective of what they own.
	Metering allows IT managers to quickly review software usage.
	Control gives IT managers complete control over applications that run on the desktop.

These components can be purchased separately or together as Express Software Manager. Each configuration comes with the Express Software Identification Database (ESID) that recognizes thousands of pre-packaged software programs and contains detailed vendor information. The Express Metrix Maintenance Plan provides regular updates to the ESID as well as product upgrades and technical support.
