EXPRESS METRIX CELEBRATES 36% REVENUE GROWTH AND RECORD PROFITABILITY IN 2007

Seattle-Based Software Company Enjoys Record Growth At Home and Abroad Among Traditional Customers and OEM Partners

We've also continued to expand the ESID to recognize over 105,000 application executables from over 3,000 software publishers, making it the most comprehensive recognition database of its kind.

Seattle, WA - Express Metrix®, a leader in IT Asset Management (ITAM) solutions, closed out 2007 with record-breaking profitabilty and revenue growth of more than 35 percent. In addition to a significant increase in revenue among its traditional customer base, the company grew its OEM revenue by over 80 percent and delivered a highly anticipated new product release. The company will embark upon 2008 with plans for further specialization and enhancement of its core offerings: software and hardware inventory, license compliance management, software metering, and application control.

New Express Metrix customers include Miller Brewing Company, the City of Atlanta, JP Morgan, Toyota, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the U.S. Department of State, and Vanderbilt University. The company also expanded its international presence with 61 percent growth in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In late 2007, Express Metrix launched the newest version of its flagship product, Express Software Manager®. Express Software Manager 8.0 includes enhanced software metering functionality and reporting, expanded security and administrative features, and broad support for industry-standard technologies including Vista, 64-bit clients, and HTTPS. These features, which build upon Express Software Manager's industry-acclaimed PC inventory and software metering capabilities, enable IT departments to demonstrate greater accountability in maintaining compliance with licensing agreements, reducing IT spending and overhead, and improving data security.

"There is no other application I've seen that gives me the security audit capabilities and information that Express Metrix offers," said Lynn Barbour, configuration and asset manager for Medavie Blue Cross in Canada an avid Express Metrix user. "The program has given us peace of mind by helping us identify the presence of non-standard applications; it has saved us money by telling us which software licenses were going unused and could therefore be eliminated; and it has saved us time across the board through automated tracking of our hardware and software inventory."

Express Metrix also continued to enhance the Express Software Identification Database (ESID)®, its industry-leading software recognition technology. The ESID is used within Express Metrix products so that customers can accurately identify the thousands of applications installed across their networks. Additionally, other technology companies have licensed the ESID to strengthen and augment their own business software and service offerings. This past year Express Metrix added Everdream (recently acquired by Dell), BigFix, Inc. and Adlon to its list of OEM partners that already included BMC Software, Tivoli, and New Boundary Technologies.

"Our growth in 2007 is a testament to our team's commitment to keep Express Metrix on the cutting edge of IT asset management technology," stated Express Metrix CEO Kris Barker. "We've also continued to expand the ESID to recognize more than 105,000 application executables from over 3,000 software publishers, making it the most comprehensive recognition database of its kind."

Other exciting advancements for Express Metrix in 2007 include Barker's election as ECPWeb SAM Practitioner of the Year and an invitation to speak at ECPWeb's annual Software Asset Management Summit about ISO Standards (the international guidelines in development for certification, audits and enforcement of software asset management policies). Additionally, Jeff Kelsey, VP of Products and Services at Express Metrix, was selected to speak at the International Association of IT Asset Manager's (IAITAM) annual conference.

As further evidence of Express Metrix's ITAM market leadership, the company was featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Seattle Times, eWeek, and Computer Reseller News, and Barker was invited to give expert commentary for a number of reputable technology publications including InfoWorld, CIO, and Government Computer News.

2008 plans for Express Metrix include continued specialization and enhancement of core IT inventory and metering functionality. In addition, the company expects to expand integration capabilities of its software identification database to enable even easier integration with third party products as an OEM solution.
