SEATTLE-BASED EXPRESS METRIX ANNOUNCES OEM RELATIONSHIP WITH INDUSTRY LEADER BMC SOFTWARE

Seattle, WA - Express Metrix, the leader in PC inventory and software usage metering solutions, today announced that BMC Software has signed a three-year OEM contract to incorporate Express Metrix's copyrighted Express Software Identification Database (ESID) into BMC's Definitive Software Library, which is a critical component of their Change and Configuration Management (CCM) strategy. The OEM move by BMC, a leading provider of enterprise management solutions that allow organizations to strategically manage their IT infrastructure, will empower companies to manage their IT infrastructure from a business perspective, and will help strengthen the software identification and recognition process in BMC's CCM solutions - both of which will directly benefit thousands of users in the process.

Since 80 percent of BMC's 15,000 worldwide customers are Fortune 500 companies, the Express Metrix-BMC OEM agreement illustrates Express Metrix's expanding presence in the market. Importantly, BMC's selection of the Express Metrix software identification technology over the options offered by any other market players also speaks volumes about Express Metrix's growing reputation as the industry leader in the still-expanding IT and software asset management space.
