Understanding Express Today
Express Today, the first screen you see when you start the Express Administrative Console, provides a summary of your entire Express Software Manager configuration.
You can click any link on this page or the icons in the Express bar (at the left of the screen) to navigate to different views.
The Express Today screen displays information about:
- Machines—the number of client computers on your network that do and do not have the Express Client installed on them.
- License Units/Applications—the total number of license units.
- Unconfigured Files—the number of "exact match," "close match," and "unrecognized" files.
- Users—the number of total and currently logged in users.
- Express Database—information about the Express Database and which features of Express Software Manager you are licensed to use.
- Express Administrative Console—the version of the help file that the Administrative Console is using.
- Express Server—information about the Express Server, a collection of services that provide most of the administrative functionality in Express Software Manager.
- Web Reports Location—the URL location of Web reports.
- Express Access Points—information about the Express Access Points, Web Services that manage communications between Express Clients and the Express Database.
