At Express Metrix, we are committed to protecting your privacy. You can navigate much of our web sites without submitting information about yourself. Sometimes we do ask for information, and this privacy statement explains how data is collected and used in those situations.
Your Personal Information
Express Metrix may ask you to give us information that personally identifies you. Generally, this information is requested when you are entering a contest, ordering e-mail newsletters, joining limited-access parts of the sites, or requesting one of our products (for evaluation, upgrade, or the Express Software Identification Database). Express Metrix may share this information with a business partner in order to fulfill a request for product or technical support.
If you subscribe to an e-mail newsletter, each newsletter will provide you with information about how to unsubscribe.
Aggregate Data
In order to understand how people use our web sites and ways to improve them, we collect information about how many people visit the sites, what pages they request, the search terms they use, etc. We do not keep track of individual activity on the sites.
Use of Cookies
A cookie is a small file that a web site sends to your browser. This file is stored on your hard drive. A cookie does not contain personal information, but records how and when guests use our sites, giving Express Metrix data that is useful for improving our web sites. If you register to download Express Software Manager, we will place a persistent (long-lasting) cookie so that you can download again in the future without having to register again. The other cookies that we store are temporary and should disappear when you close your browser. Note that some site functionality may be lost if cookies are disabled.
Linked Web Sites
Express Metrix web sites may include links to other web sites. Express Metrix is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these linked sites.
Children
The Express Metrix web sites are created for IT professionals and others interested in IT asset management. We do not expect that children will be interested in the sites, but if you are 18 years of age or under, you must obtain permission from your parent or legal guardian before submitting Personal Information.
