Summary
Microsoft has described a problem in Access 97 where a change to the data in a form record is saved to an incorrect record. Express products are not affected by this bug, which occurs only in specific circumstances. This technical note describes the bug and provides a Microsoft Web address for obtaining more information about the Access problem.
Note: If you receive an "Out of Memory" error when performing Express library database operations, see Technical Note 1284 to update your version of the Microsoft Jet database engine.
Microsoft Access Bug
Microsoft has reported that data changed in an Access form record is saved to an incorrect record under certain circumstances. This problem occurs when you delete a record and then search for a different record using the bookmark properties of the form and RecordsetClone objects.
Express products do not use bookmarks or RecordsetClone commands and therefore are not affected by the Access bug.
