A package used to update the Express Software Manager client. Download the ZIP file and read 7.6_Client_Update_Readme.txt contained within it for installation instructions.

Version 7.0 Service Pack 1 upgrade kit. This upgrades an existing version 7.0 installation with SP1.

1. Download the upgrade kit ZIP file
2. Open the ZIP file and print out the upgrade instructions found in ESM7.0SP1UpgradeReadme.txt
3. Follow the instructions carefully to perform the upgrade

Express Client

Express Software Manager 6.2 Updates. New functionality including new web reports (Delta Reporting, Custom Hardware, Machine Attributes, Application Usage), Crystal-based reports (Media Files, Operating System, Software Inventory by User and Manufacturer) and a new inventory client that allows you to specify that certain folders be excluded from inventory collection.

mattributes.zip  

Machine Attributes Web Report. Corrects the problem of how the Machine Summary web report is invoked when clicking on a machine name listed for a particular attribute. Download and extract the file mattributes_detail.asp into the folder in which you have installed web reports. This is an update to the web reports shipped with the 6.2 Feature Updates; you should have both updates installed prior to downloading this patch.

sw_inv_sum.zip  

Software Inventory Summary Report. Corrects the problem of not showing surplus/deficit information for inventoried suites. Download this file into your ESM\Express Console\Reports folder and extract all files. (The updated report will be placed in each of the three folders in which it is installed.)

quickhardwarelist.zip  

Quick Hardware Report. Download and extract the file quickhardwarelist.asp into the folder in which you have installed web reports. Corrects a problem of not displaying the last logged in user on this report.

Updated WMI client. Download and extract Exwmi62.zip. Copy the extracted file, Exwmi.exe, to the \Clients folder on the Administrative Console workstation.

Unconfigured Files Report. Corrects a problem that occurs when an inventoried file has a path longer than 128 characters.

Updated Online Reference. HTML Help format; download and rename to OnlineRef.chm if you plan to use this from within the Express Administrative Console.

Updated WMI client. Download and extract Exwmi61.zip. Copy the extracted file, Exwmi.exe, to the \Clients folder on the Administrative Console workstation.

Machine Last Inventoried Report. Shows all machines in a library, listed by last inventory date. The machine with the oldest inventory is listed first. The last scan date appears in red if the inventory is more than one month old.

Windows XP Client. This updated Windows XP client includes desktop control, as well as inventory and usage metering.

Machine Properties Report. Updated report includes user-defined attributes and machine drive summary information.
